An IT infrastructure consultant is well-versed in both new and existing technologies and has a solid understanding of IT systems and their applications. Our IT infrastructure consultants have many years of experience within their respective fields and have all developed strong business acumen and communication skills. They are able to quickly familiarize themselves with challenges, seek out new knowledge, and work independently or as part of an existing IT organization.

The IT Infrastructure Generalist

This profile often begins their career with a background as an IT supporter or similar role. After several years of relevant experience and certifications, they have built solid knowledge in operating and expanding within their core area of expertise. Typically, the distinction is made between support, server operations, cloud, and networking.

Consultants with this profile are an excellent resource when there are many tasks to complete, and the existing IT organization does not have enough hands to manage them.

The IT Infrastructure Specialist

Like the generalist, the specialist has a solid technical foundation but has chosen one or more areas to explore in depth. They are often seen in roles such as IT Architects, Cloud Specialists in hybrid and/or pure cloud environments, or Network Specialists within, for example, Palo Alto firewalls or CISCO.

This is also where you find experts in areas such as Data Center Operations, Life-cycle Management, IAM, Virtualization, Monitoring, and Database Design and Administration.
