SAP S/4HANA – Project Manager, 16 months in Copenhagen

For the past 4 years, our client has run a preparation programme to prepare for the S/4HANA brownfield conversion – scheduled for October 2027. By September 2026, an Implementation Partner is onboarded to execute the conversion together with our client. To co-operate with the Partner, our client is ramping up an internal Programme organization consisting of internal IT employees, external consultants and business. We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to engage in our client’s S/4HANA Programme to lead the day-to-day management and delivery of our client’s S/4HANA brownfield conversion programme. Working closely with the Implementation Partner and coordinating across functional, technical, and organizational change management tracks – with a close collaboration with the Programme Director and senior executive stakeholders - Leadership: Lead end-to-end delivery (scoping, planning, execution, testing, cutover, hypercare) across multiple tracks; ensure coherence with programme goals.
- Governance and reporting: establish governance, RAID, risk/issue/change control, budget tracking; provide regular status to the Programme Director and Steering Committee.
- Go-live readiness: ensure operational readiness, support model, hypercare, and knowledge transfer to run teams; ensure security/compliance.
The role is working closely with the Implementation Partner and leading roles from the Programme organisation – reporting to the Programme Director Requirements: - Experience: 15+ years in SAP project management with demonstrated delivery of complex SAP projects; S/4HANA brownfield experience preferred.
- S/4HANA expertise: Knowledge of S/4HANA architecture, cutover strategies and integrations
- Project leadership: Proven ability to run multi-track projects and keep the day-to-day operations at pace in an agile setup
- Stakeholder governance: Strong, clear communications skills and ability to inspire the team
- Risk/finance/governance: Proficient in RAID, risk/issue management, change control and budgeting.
- Methodologies/tools: Familiarity with SAP Activate; Agile/Scrum in SAP programmes; modern PMO tools and Scaled Agile
- Background in SAP module or SAP products.
Interviews will be held in week 32 or 33. Preferred start date 1. September 2026 Remote work can be agreed occasionally, but must be planned and approved as part of the project Option to extend: 1st half year of 2028 for stabilization
