Finance Director / CFO, Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly was facing the task of updating both the internal IT system and the system we use for all our clients. We have previously used Accuro successfully, and we found it natural to leverage our network and reach out to Accuro again when the need for a project manager and a permanent specialist arose.

Baker Tilly was faced with updating both the internal IT system and the system used for all our clients. In this context, we needed two profiles. We required a project manager to drive the update of the internal IT system. This was for a temporary consultant position.

The other profile we were in need of was a permanent specialist, as this involves continuous service for our clients.

We have previously used Accuro with success, and it seemed natural to leverage our network and reach out to Accuro again when the need arose.

Accuro is good at following things through to the end

One of Accuro's strengths is its accessibility. There's nothing better as a customer than feeling that the supplier is close and available. At Baker Tilly, we also experienced that you are good at seeing things through to the end and ensuring that the project and the employment become a success.
Accuro is good at understanding the needs we had and quickly coming up with solutions, so we had some good profiles to choose from.

There have been different levels of difficulty in the two positions. We expected the project manager to be used to working on an interim basis, whereas we were seeking a specialist for the permanent role. Here, it was important to get someone on board who wasn't a specialist in the old system but could bridge the gap between the new and the old. The new systems require new skills, as they are programmed in new software and the entire approach to their setup is different.

A good employee for Baker Tilly is one who comes in with energy and lots of skills, who has drive and is good at taking responsibility. The permanent specialist you found fits very well with Baker Tilly's values and our values: "talk straight" and take responsibility.

A good process is a win for all parties involved

We have noticed that the market for candidates with the specific skills we were seeking is under pressure, and since the number of candidates is not large, it can be challenging to find the right ones. After a search process, it's comforting as a client to have more than one candidate to consider. If you're left with only one candidate, there's not really a choice, and in such situations, there's a tendency to compromise. If there aren't multiple candidates to choose from, the risk of not getting the optimal solution is higher. However, the candidates presented by Accuro were ones we firmly believed could handle the task.

With the project manager, there was ongoing dialogue, and I have spoken many times with Svend Ørum regarding extending the agreement with the project manager on several occasions. One thing I noticed is that you are also good at looking after the interests of the project manager, so they also have the opportunity to find something new when the project is completed. It's essentially a three-party collaboration, as it's important that everyone sees it as a win. All three parties should consider it a success.
